Tyrese Haliburton progressing but return timetable uncertain

Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle provided an update on Tyrese Haliburton’s recovery from a left hamstring strain, confirming that the star guard remains sidelined without a clear return date.

Haliburton did not travel with the Pacers to Mexico as he continues receiving treatment for the injury. Carlisle explained that remaining at home was the better option for his rehabilitation.

“Unfortunately, (Tyrese) is not able to be here. He sends his regards to Mexico,” Carlisle said.

“He is very disappointed he couldn’t make it but it is better for his rehab to stay at home, to be in the hyperbaric (chamber), and do all the treatments.”

Carlisle initially expressed hope that Haliburton would return soon, but clarified Saturday that the team has not established a timetable for his comeback.

“He’s making great progress. I don’t know a timetable. … The timetable is uncertain,” Carlisle said.
