Steph Curry scored 41 points, including a decisive three-point play in overtime, as the Golden State Warriors beat the Orlando Magic 126-119 on Saturday night for their seventh consecutive win.
Curry put Golden State ahead with 1:38 remaining in overtime and added a layup in the final minute. He finished with six rebounds and six assists, shooting 13-for-19 from the field and 10-for-10 at the free-throw line.
The Magic had a chance to tie the game with 1:15 left, but Wendell Carter Jr. missed both free throws. Curry then helped the Warriors protect their lead as they improved to 7-3.
Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg contributed 23 points and eight rebounds, while Brandin Podziemski scored 15. Draymond Green recorded a season-high 13 assists for Golden State, which started the season 0-3 before putting together its longest winning streak since March 3-15, 2025.
Franz Wagner led Orlando with 30 points and 11 assists. Tristan da Silva and Carter each added 19 points, while Jamal Cain had 18 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.
Golden State led 57-41 at halftime, but Orlando rallied and took a 78-77 advantage into the fourth quarter. The teams traded baskets late in regulation, with Curry putting the Warriors ahead on a layup with 25.2 seconds remaining.
Cain kept Orlando alive with a putback with two seconds left, sending the game to overtime. Lendeborg then hit a key three-pointer in the extra period before Curry took over in the closing minutes.
Curry recorded his second 40-point game of the season and his fourth game with at least 30 points in the last five.
His 16th 40-point performance after turning 35 is the most in NBA history. LeBron James has 15 such games, while Michael Jordan recorded 12.
The Warriors have now won seven straight after opening the season with three losses. Orlando, meanwhile, has lost four consecutive games on Golden State’s home floor.
Golden State hosts the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, while Orlando visits the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday.
