Vernon Maxwell blasts Draymond Green’s production

Former NBA player Vernon “Mad Max” Maxwell has criticized Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green over his statistical production, arguing that the team should expect more from a player earning $27.7 million.

During a conversation with Matt Barnes, Maxwell questioned whether Green’s contributions justify his salary after hearing his current averages of three points, five rebounds, and six assists per game.

“Three, five and six. Numbers are three points, five rebounds and six assists right now,” Barnes said.

Maxwell immediately expressed disappointment with those numbers, suggesting that Green needs to increase his production.

“Three points, five rebounds, six. See what I’m saying? He got to do better than that.”

Barnes agreed with the assessment, responding, “That’s not enough, Max.”

Maxwell continued his criticism, emphasizing the financial expectations that come with Green’s contract.

“Come on, man. Come on. What we talking about? Draymond, you’re making a lot of money now. Goddamn. We got to do better.”
