The Utah Jazz have exercised their $9.98 million rookie-scale team option on Ace Bailey for the 2027-28 season, Michael Scotto reported Monday, November 2, citing league sources.
Bailey, 20, is in the second year of a four-year, $41.2 million rookie contract. Utah has also secured the third season of his deal, with a team option for the fourth year remaining.
The forward has started five of six games in 2026-27, averaging 13.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 30.8 minutes per game. He is shooting 50% from the field, although his three-point percentage stands at 29% on 5.2 attempts per game.
Bailey has also contributed defensively, averaging 1.8 blocks per game through the first six contests. His 7.8 rebounds per game rank second on the Jazz, behind Jaren Jackson Jr. among players with enough appearances to qualify in the supplied team statistics.
In his rookie season, Bailey appeared in 72 games and made 61 starts, averaging 13.8 points and 4.2 rebounds in 27.6 minutes. He shot 44.3% from the field and 34.4% from three-point range.
Across his first 78 NBA games, Bailey has averaged 13.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 44.7% overall.
