Baron Davis blames Giannis Antetokounmpo for Miami’s struggles

Former NBA guard Baron Davis believes Giannis Antetokounmpo is responsible for Miami’s offensive struggles and argues that the Heat should build their offense around Bam Adebayo instead.

Davis questioned Antetokounmpo’s ball-dominant playing style, suggesting that his approach limits the team’s offensive effectiveness.

He believes Miami would benefit from giving Adebayo a larger role as the primary offensive facilitator while allowing Antetokounmpo to operate closer to the basket.

“Giannis needs to adjust to the team. You can get triple-doubles, and they ugly. You get triple-doubles because you got the ball all the time. I think the offense needs to run through Bam.

“It puts Bam at the high post, catch, 15-footer. You put Giannis at the dunker or the baseline; Giannis is one dribble away from the basket. Giannis having the ball in his hands is causing all the problems!”
