The Charlotte Hornets have waived veteran guard Pat Connaughton as the team makes its final roster adjustments ahead of the upcoming NBA season.
Connaughton was playing on a non-guaranteed contract, allowing Charlotte to release him without a guaranteed salary commitment.
The move brings the Hornets down to 15 players, meeting the NBA’s standard regular-season roster limit.
The 33-year-old appeared in 42 games for Charlotte last season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 7.1 minutes per contest.
