LeBron James is gradually adjusting to his new surroundings after joining the Philadelphia 76ers during the offseason, marking another major change in his NBA career.
According to Tony Jones of The Athletic, the four-time NBA champion has already influenced the team’s locker room atmosphere and daily preparation.
For the first time since joining the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, James is adapting to a completely different roster and organization.
The 41-year-old also made the decision to leave his family and home in Los Angeles to continue his career in Philadelphia.
James acknowledged that the transition has not been easy every day, but spending time with his new teammates has helped him settle into his new environment.
“Every day is getting better, and obviously … some days will be better than others,” James said.
“But when I get to the facility, and when I get around these guys, it definitely helps. We have good energy and good spirit. Obviously, the basketball game, what it brings to all of us, is a sense of like togetherness and fun. It’s fun to go to work.”

The veteran forward regularly arrives at the practice facility early and often completes an individual workout before the team’s scheduled practice begins.
His approach has already started influencing his new teammates as Philadelphia prepares for the 2026-27 NBA season.
James, who has won championships with the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers, will now attempt to help Philadelphia compete for an NBA title.
