Giannis Antetokounmpo believes he still has several productive seasons ahead of him despite already having spent 13 years in the NBA.

At 31, the Miami Heat star understands that managing his workload is becoming more important.

While he has built his career around playing with high intensity, Giannis acknowledged that he is learning when to push himself and when to be more selective with his effort.

“Thirteen years playing in the NBA, I always play hard. So, it’s almost like two timelines are meeting one another. I’m just being myself. They’re not making me play harder.

“I’ve always been able to go hard. Now, there’s gotta be times when you gotta be more methodical about how hard you go or when you should go hard to be able to pick your spot, which I’m trying to do, but I know I have so much more in my tank.

“I know I’m 31, but I’m not 35 or 36 and thinking like, ‘Oh, I gotta start slowing down.’ You see (Kevin Durant), like, KD just turned 38. I’m 31. I know I got five, six good years. We’ll see.”
