Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic has talked about his approach last season, admitting that trying to take on too many responsibilities made his game unnecessarily complicated.

The Serbian international explained that he wanted to establish himself as a leading player, which led him to focus on scoring, passing, and contributing in every possible area rather than keeping his approach simple.

“I always want to do everything. Which isn’t always that smart. Last year I made my game too complicated where I was trying to do everything and ‘hey, I wanted to be the guy.’ I wanted to be the scorer, I wanted to be the passer, everything.”
