The New York Knicks have relaunched individual ticket sales after correcting the unusually high prices from their initial release last week.
Madison Square Garden reopened sales Wednesday through Ticketmaster, with prices now approximately 12% higher than last season.
“We thank our loyal Knicks fans for their patience. Individual tickets for this season are back on-sale and now reflect approximately 12% percent increase over last season,” a Garden spokesman told The Post. “All fans who paid more than that when tickets originally went on sale last week will receive a direct communication regarding their refund.”
The original sale featured major markups for New York’s title-defending season. Tickets for the opener against the Philadelphia 76ers averaged around $2,500, while some upper-level seats exceeded $1,000.
The Knicks acknowledged the pricing was a mistake and quickly suspended sales. Six days later, tickets returned at the adjusted prices.
Fans who already purchased seats at the higher rates will receive refunds covering the difference between the original and new prices.
Under owner James Dolan, ticket prices have increased when the Knicks reached the playoffs. New York has now done so in four consecutive seasons since Jalen Brunson arrived, culminating in last season’s championship.
Despite MSG tickets being among the NBA’s most expensive, demand remains strong and games continue to sell out.
