The Charlotte Hornets have concluded their search for a new head coach by appointing Charles Lee, formerly a lead assistant coach with the Boston Celtics.
According to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Lee has signed a four-year deal with the Hornets, marking a significant step in his coaching career.
Lee brings a wealth of experience to the Hornets, having previously served as an assistant coach under Mike Budenholzer during the Milwaukee Bucks’ championship-winning season in 2021.
Before joining the Hornets, Lee’s name had surfaced as a potential candidate for the vacant head coaching position with the Los Angeles Lakers, following the departure of Darvin Ham.
