Despite a disappointing performance in Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs, the Orlando Magic forward Franz Wagner received support from his teammate Paolo Banchero, who acknowledged Wagner’s overall contribution to the team throughout the season.

“We’re not here without Franz. He holds himself to a high standard and expects much of himself as a player. I’ve also been in that position where you felt like you could’ve done much more in a losing effort, but this doesn’t define him,” Banchero said.

Despite Banchero’s impressive performance of 38 points and 16 rebounds in the decisive game, the Magic couldn’t secure the win. Nevertheless, he expressed pride in his team’s effort.

“After the first game, people were like, I don’t know if they’re ready. Coming back the way we did shows where we’re headed and what we’re able to do.”
