Following a thrilling victory for the Dallas Mavericks against the Los Angeles Clippers, head coach Jason Kidd praised Luka Doncic’s endurance, referring to him as “Benjamin Buttons” for his youthful energy.

The Slovenian superstar played a significant 46 minutes in the game, leading the Mavericks to a crucial playoff win. Teaming up with Kyrie Irving and P.J. Washington, Doncic spearheaded the Mavericks’ resurgence, guiding them to a 96-93 victory and leveling their playoff series against the Clippers.

“He’s young. He’s 22. He’s Benjamin Buttons. He’s going backwards. He’s young,” Kidd said postgame. “If you ask him, he’s going to tell you he can play 48 [minutes]. I thought we were trying to maximize different ways to get him rest.

Now on the sheet it’s going to say 45 [minutes], but we believe that being able to use a timeout during the free-throws to get him that rest is a little bit longer than normal. But when he’s on the floor, he’s a plus and we need him on the floor.”
