As the regular season has come to an end, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finds himself firmly entrenched in the MVP conversation, hoping to secure the prestigious award for his outstanding contributions to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Reflecting on his MVP candidacy alongside top contenders like Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic, Gilgeous-Alexander expressed his desire to receive the honor.

“I hope I get it, yes. I think all the guys are deserving, all have their case. Whatever happens, happens. But whoever gets it is deserving for sure,” he said, per Tim McMahon.

Throughout the season, Gilgeous-Alexander has been the driving force behind the Thunder’s success, leading them to the No. 1 seed in the highly competitive Western Conference.

The 25-year-old point guard averaged 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game during the regular season.
